Configuring Folder/File Versioning

Overview

One of the advantages of versioning is the ability to restore a page or a file to a previous version when needed. It also allows you to keep a history of the changes made to your file/page.

In this article, you will learn how to configure folder/file versioning and set the maximum number of versions to be stored in the system.

Evoq Engage

Prerequisites

You need a host/superuser account to be able to perform the steps outlined in this article. Hosts have full permissions to all sites in the DNN instance.

Process

Note: Versioning is enabled at the folder level; i.e., versioning affects all files inside the folder. However, you can manage the file versions individually.

Go to Persona Bar > Content > Assets.
Hover over the folder card in the grid to expose the vertical icon bar and click the pencil icon.
Under Details, set Versioning to On.
Click Save to apply the changes.
