Issue
In the HTML Editor, attempting to link to assets results in non-functional links that lead to a browser error.
Cause
This occurs when users insert relative links. Copying a relative path or link, such as one beginning with /portals/, will lead to an error.
Solution
Replace relative links with absolute links, using the asset's exact URL.
Additional information
This problem can occur whenever a user copies the address of an asset, such as an icon or PDF file, without realizing they are copying a relative path instead of an absolute one. Users may notice a browser error, such as "Safari Can't Find the Server," or links in the editor that begin with "http:///" because the editor has automatically inserted "http://" to attempt to construct a valid URL.
